Continuous video broadcasting on the Internet, requires dedicated network servers that run special software. This requires large amounts of bandwidth and the rental of a dedicated network server. ( This would require a fantastic amount of money for a large viewing audience. )
Scenic Radio uses special server scripting to randomly select multimedia content for on demand video presentation. On demand video presentations allows viewers to pause the video at any time, then continue to watch that same scene at a later time. Viewers can also "rewind" a video presentation to view a previous scene. ( These features are not available with continuous Internet broadcasting. ) The on demand video presentation requires only a standard web host account that can process server side scripting.
Scenic Radio uses the multimedia content available through Google video, YouTube video and other social video web hosts. This allows the submission, indexing and presentation of vast amounts of multimedia material, without the high price of bandwidth for content distribution.
Scenic Radio brokers the needs of viewers ( content access ) with the needs of social media hosts ( content distribution ).
