Second Life is a online virtual community that allows people to create online persona's and visual representations called avtars. People can also create buildings, villages, cities and even islands.

Second Life has added the ability to broadcast or stream audio / video to within their online world.

Origins Of Television

Television first appeared as a mechanical apparatus, that consisted of a spinning disk and photo-electric vacum tubes.

The video "signal" was taken from a standard radio receiver and the audio "signal" was taken from a separate radio receiver.

The video quality was very poor due to the mechanical process involved.
